Cycling Programs ANYBODY CAN PARTICIPATE! WTLC offers an exciting series of programs geared to all fitness levels. Whether you are looking for a lower impact recreational fitness program like "Waterfront Ride to Health" or the higher impact workout of our "Bicycle Boot Camp" series, there is a program designed with you in mind. You can join any program in our standard Group format consisting of scheduled weekly guided rides OR register for a Personal Program and complete the rides on your own, ANYTIME! Personal programs offer additional time to complete and allow you flexibility as time demands! You can register for a Personal Program yourself or with friend(s) and take advantage of our "Ride with a Friend Discount" of 10%. We'll supply the bikes, helmets, equipment and route maps. The WTLC team and facility are here to take care of all equipment preparation and setup and as a meeting place for your group before and after each ride! Our Personal and Group Programs provide a unique experience focused on cycling, fitness, the outdoors and fun! They offer a great format to attain personal fitness goals for cyclists, runners and everyone! and Registration Forms below Bicycle Boot Camp (Mixed) - Guided All the benefits of basic training without the high impact of a traditional ground based exercise program. Bicycle Boot Camp is geared at the cycling and fitness enthusiast looking for a result and goal oriented workout. Bicycle Boot Camp participants will manoeuvre through a series of guided routes designed to build endurance and stamina. Ride routes will cover increasing hilly and enduring territory as the program progresses. Routes include both on road and low impact trails. Riders will work as a team throughout the program. Bicycle Boot Camp encourages group support and participation. Riders will move as a guided unit. The focus is not on speed. The goal of each ride is to achieve a great workout in a beautiful, natural environment while building endurance and stamina. All participants are welcome. Participants wishing to use their own bikes in Bicycle Boot Camp are welcome and will receive a discount of $50/eight-week or $25/four-week off the regular program price.
If you are looking for an effective, low impact recreational fitness program try "Waterfront Ride to Health". This guided program consists of weekly scheduled rides heavily focused on the Waterfront Trail and Burlington bike paths to enjoy much of the program free of traffic! Waterfront Ride to Health offers participants a goal oriented cycling program in a natural environment with great group support. A very good option for anyone wanting to get involved in a group fitness program that combines the outdoors, cycling, physical fitness and fun! The semi-retired and retired crowd can enjoy the flexibility of "The Waterfront Trailblazers" prepaid ride package. You decide the time that fits your schedule. Get out, get active and enjoy morning rides on the trail. We'll have fresh coffee and bagels waiting on your return. A great start to any day. Give yourself a morning a week on the trail. You'll be glad you did! This is a flexible, open program that enables you to take your rides throughout the season.
